The Vietnam Travel & Tourism Summit 2018, Vietnam’s first national tourism forum, will be held on December 5 and 6 at the Intercontinental Hanoi Landmark72 in Hanoi, with leaders in tourism from the public and private sectors participating.
The summit will be hosted by the Private Sector Development Committee (PSD) and co-organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST), the Vietnam Tourism Advisory Board (TAB), and the VnExpress newspaper, with support from the Boston Consulting Group (BCG).
The summit will analyze and discuss current challenges facing Vietnam’s travel industry and propose solutions to boost the sustainable development of tourism nationwide. It will also give investors a thorough understanding of the strategies, objectives, and opportunities within Vietnam’s tourism landscape.
More than 1,500 delegates, 500 CEOs, and 300 experts are expected to attend the summit, led by Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.
Minister and Chairman of the Office of the Government Mai Tien Dung will also attend.
Held within the framework of the Vietnam Economic Forum (ViEF 2018), the summit will feature two key sessions: “Potential Opportunities and Strategic Planning for Sustainable Development Efficiency” held on December 5 and “Making Tourism a Spearhead Economic Sector of Vietnam” on December 6, with reports and speeches delivered by prominent figures from Air Asia, the UN World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), BCG, and others.
ViEF is a national economic forum aimed at discussing key issues and strategies regarding Vietnam’s macroeconomy. It also features constructive dialogues between the private sector, the government, and stakeholders on public and private policies.
